A: Yes.
Q: Can the process of recording be secured?
A: Yes, by using rtmps or rtmpe instead of rtmp.

Q: Is it developed in Flash or Flex?
A: It's developed in Flash CS4 and written in Action Script 3.
Q: Is .flv a codec?
A: No, .flv is a container. It contains audio & video data, meta data like length and resolution, key frame information, etc...
Q: What codec is used for encoding the audio?
A: Speex is used by default but you can switch to Nellymoser's ASAO (both are built into Flash Player).

A: When you buy the .fla source files you can change the entire design. Without the sources you can (only) change the white background color.

Media Server:

Q: What is a media server ?
A: Just as web servers (Apache is a web server) serve static HTML pages and images, media servers (like AMS, Red5 and Wowza) deliver (and receive) video and audio content to (and from) Flash Player applications (like our flv audio recorder).
Q: What can you tell me about Adobe Media Server ?
A: It is the first media server ever released. It's now developed by Adobe. At launch it was called Flash Communication Server. It is now called Adobe Media Server and it costs around $4500 to buy in the US (we know, it's a lot!) but it also has a free version limited to 10 connections. It has good documentation and there are a lot of articles and books explaining all things Adobe Media Server.
Q: What can you tell me about Red5 ?
A: Red5 is a free and open source alternative to AMS developed in Java.
Q: What can you tell me about Wowza ?
A: Wowza is a commercial alternative to Adobe Media Server that costs $65/month tu use, comes with great documentation, a forum and good support. It is developed in Java.
Q: Where can I get a dedicated server with Red5 already installed on it ?
A: We rent VPS servers with Red5 pre-installed on another one of our product's website at http://avchat.net/hosting. Plans start at $15/mo.
Q: Can I install Red5 or AMS or Wowza on my own dedicated/cloud/VPS server and use that ?
A: Of course, you can download Red5 from here or purchase Wowza or AMS. You can also use Wowza and AMS for free if you don't plan on having more than 10 people connected to the media server at the same time.
Q: Can I install AMS, Red5 or Wowza ona shared hosting account or on a free shared hosting account?
A: No, you need a VPS, cloud or dedicated server.

Absolutely top product! Shame Flash doesn't have this kind of functionality without a media server - we develop solutions for the radio industry and this is right up our street!
